Our Approach

  • 1. Discovery & Consultation

    We start with a detailed consultation to understand your vision, goals, and requirements. We’ll discuss your event’s theme, size, financial comfort zone, and any special requests to ensure we capture your unique style.

  • 2. Retain Our Team

    We will provide you with a package that works best for your needs. A retainer/contract will be sent via email and is required for every client to secure our services. Once received we will get to work!

  • 3. Concept Development

    Once our relationship is established, our team gets to work with the planning and design process. We provide checklists, recommendations, mood boards, sketches, and detailed proposals to bring your vision to life and ensure every detail aligns with your expectations.

  • 4. Production

    Once the concept is approved, we handle all aspects of planning and coordination. This includes securing vendors, managing logistics, creating timelines, and ensuring all elements are seamlessly integrated.

  • 5. Execution & Coordination

    On the event day, our professionals oversee every detail to ensure everything runs smoothly. We manage the event design, timeline, coordinate with vendors, and handle any last-minute adjustments to ensure a flawless experience.

The Founder

Hi, I’m Sophie, founder and lead planner/coordinator at The Sogency, where we transform your special moments into unforgettable memories. My entire life, I was always the go to person for friends and family whenever someone needed help planning. Even in university and my corporate job, I planned and designed any event I could! Most would probably see that as a burden, but I LOVED every minute of it!

Fast forward…I earned my bachelor and masters degree and went to work in Corporate America for 10+ years, but always felt like something was missing. Then, one day after my wedding, that I planned and designed myself, I decided I was going to turn my passion into a business to help ease the burden and stress of planning and designing for other people so they can truly enjoy their special moments. So here we are!

I believe every event, from weddings to birthdays and corporate gatherings, deserve to be a reflection of your unique story and style. For people who have not hired a professional event planner before, it could be intimidating with all the options of talented and capable people out there. I understand this and because I do, I have a strict policy of clarity and trust with anyone I work with.
